Inputs from alternator, solar and wind - The unit takes input from the vehicle alternator, solor panel and wind generator then provides the optimum output to charge a leisure battery. The unit can boost the input from the alternator to cancel the effects of poor contacts and voltage drop along the cabling, which is one of the main causes of poor charging. A one box solution means a regulator is not required for each power source, so the cost and complexity is reduced. The use of MPPT technology ensures the maximum possible power is extracted from the solar panel and wind generator, boosting output by up to 20% over traditional regulators.
